The importance of knowing your VALUES

  • by

I think we owe it to ourselves to be and do all we can! How will you ever get close to that without knowing your values? Apart from getting close to or actually becoming our best version of ourselves, what else can values do for us? How about this; increase your self-awareness, confidence, and self-esteem, and on top of that – get a powerful decision-making tool!

Enjoy the recent podcast episode where I talk about values: Episode 86.

Knowing your values can be the best tool you ever had; clients of mine use it for their recruitment process in building solid teams, making decisions on what large clients to take on, knowing how to prioritize in pressured situations, and even through crisis. Values is the first module in my online coaching program You Own Your Life.

When I did my values exercise I experienced one of the most powerful moments in my life. For real. I went from feeling weird, awkward, not quite fitting in anywhere… and lost in general. Also, I felt ugly, not educated enough and other “nice” things. Like for most, the list was quite long. But long story short; I did the exercise and BAM!!!! All of a sudden I felt “wow… yes!!! This is ME”! I had my personality expressed in five words, like a new DNA that I could really feel, understand, put firmly on the ground and stand very steady on, and most importantly – I could appreciate ME, for the first time ever. Since then, I am happy, excited, proud and glad to be me. In all its glory!

My personal values are authenticity, integrity, courage, family and humor. What are yours?
