It’s not the right time…

  • by

You want to be HAPPIER, have more time for YOU, be less stressed so you can ENJOY  time with your family, allow yourself some creative thinking time to see what it is you really want to achieve, be, do or experience in life, maybe even have time to get in better shape… but, it’s not the right time? A little bit too much on your plate right now? Not really convenient for change at this period in your life…? Perhaps you wish things were a little easier?

I’m changing things in my life now, to be happier and live life to the fullest – because – the timing is PERFECT!

– said NO ONE. EVER.

When do things EVER happen JUST at the right time? If ever, not very often. It seems there is always so much going on, and our to-do-lists are never-ending, that taking charge of our “situation” and creating positive change is simply a little bit too much.

But at the end of the day, if we don’t stop and prioritize what really matters, and get clear on what it is we really want, a month will have passed before you even think, and then it’s Christmas again – and God knows all the things we have to add to our to-do-list then. It’s just never a good time to take a step in a new direction.

Or? Is it? My answer is: YES!! Yes, it is ALWAYS a good time to take a step in a new direction. Do it now! Do it now! Do it NOW!

“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning,
but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”

– Maria Robinson

How convenient can it be to give up a very secure income when you’re a single parent with three babies, in a foreign country, just when you’re recovering from a massive burnout, to start a new life, designed to make you happy? I can tell you! On a scale 0 to 100, it is ZERO % convenient. I can also tell you that it hits full score on the fear factor. It is so scary, I think I’m even a little impressed that I actually dared to make that decision (I have also considered if perhaps the burnout got me so bad I acquired a slight level of craziness).

The truth is, before making the BIG decision, I created a VERY clear vision of how I wanted to live my life, what I wanted it to feel like. That vision made me feel so strong and alive, nothing could stop me from getting there! You should try it 🙂 Dare to vision your DREAM LIFE! All the details of what you want to be doing, how you invest your time, what kind of people you have in your life, what kind of people you work with, how you feel when you’re your happiest and best version of you. All of a sudden, there’s a drive and desire to get there – NOW!

“There is no passion to be found playing small
– in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”

– Nelson Mandela

What do you get when you decide to live life on your terms (and if that starts with leaving your secure income)? Apart from the obvious; not having an income, and the daily dose of fear when you wonder if you’ll make it, you also get some pretty powerful ingredients added to this journey called life.

Freedom. Excitement. Fulfillment. Significance. Pride. Challenge. Opportunity. Happiness. Curiosity. Growth.

The past three years have been the scariest and most financially uncomfortable times I have experienced in my life. Yuck.

The past three years have been the most wonderful, exciting, fulfilling and rewarding times I have experienced in my life. Yes! Sacrifices in many areas that would feel really wrong if I was still in my old employment. In this new life of mine, they are investments. Investments that make life so much richer and rewarding.

Do you know what you want from your life? Can you articulate it? How clear are you on the details? Grab a pen and paper and start writing it out. Design your own life plan and see how it makes you feel! If every choice and every decision you make from now on, is aligned with that vision of your dream life, you will get there faster!
